Karelia: Teamhike for Sberbank

This time, we headed to Karelia, a land of pine forests, rocky shores, and the unhurried pace of winter. We based ourselves in cozy Medvezhyegorsk.

The weather has brought plenty of surprises this year, and Karelia was no exception. Instead of the usual winter wonderland, we found a fickle thaw. So we moved our main activities away from Lake Onega. But, as befits a true Teamhike trip, we kept our sense of adventure.

We walked through snowy forests, talked around the campfire, sang along to the guitar, enjoyed a banya (Russian sauna) with veniki, laughed, and simply spent time together. We made the most of our time: with culture, heart, and no rush.
